Peter is a South Sudanese journalist, cinematographer, photographer, video editor and educator, with over twenty years of experience, living and working in Juba, South Sudan.
Peter is a stringer for Aljazeera English, Aljzareera Arabic and Agence France Presse (AFP), and his work was published widely. Peter also works for the World Food Programme (WFP) as a Communication Officer and Content Producer, and as a correspondent for Reporters Without Borders, monitoring the situation of press freedom in the country.
While working as a journalist, he is also an educator, and he helped improve the standards of journalism in South Sudan by training a large number of cameramen across the country.
Peter has been documenting his home country for nearly two decades, covering the road to independence, as well as the past conflict, and the new peace process. His work often focuses on freedom of expression and he has a strong passion for youth empowerment in South Sudan.
He holds a degree in Development Communication and a Diploma in Communication and Public Relations from the University of Juba.
